You Cannot Outgive God’s Love!

Summary: Have you ever wanted something in life, but maybe seemed too big to ask? God loves to answer those prayers! Do not let, doubt or feeling of unworthy stop you!

I remember when my brother went to college he had received a nice scholarship to go to the University of Detroit Mercy.

I also remember my dad being grateful, but asked for more.  A simple phone call turned into an extra $8,000 in scholarship money.

James 4:2-3 says,

You do not have because you do not ask.You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.

I wonder how often this has been my thought.  I am grateful for what God has given me, but I know there is more out there.

Earlier today, I was resting in declaring God’s faith, hope and love to the world in a 1,000x measure. I began thinking, “Is this too much?”

I felt God say, “You cannot out give my love Marc.”

How encouraging!

I will always be learning, but a key to experience more of God is be a blessing to others. God did not intend to give you a gift to keep to your self.

When I give back to the Kingdom of Heaven financially, I like to do as soon it comes in. It helps me recognize the money is not mine, but God’s.

A similar principle with spiritual gifts applies. When I receive a spiritual gift, I am learning to give it away as soon as I can.

This promotes a humility and not pride.

Prayer: Abba Father, thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have given me so I can be a blessing to others. Holy Spirit, I pray you stir in every reader a desire to be a blessing to others and teach them how to do so. In Jesus name! Amen!

Application and Comments: How can you be a blessing to others? I would love to hear about it in the comments below!

Addicted To Joy

It was about this time last year when God gave me a first glimpse of what true joy feels like.

I can remember it very well. I was at United Dairy Farmers and when I when I swiped my debit card I felt a surge of energy that I had not experienced before.

Since that moment, I have not experienced that feeling, but I now I know it is there. I cling to that moment in my moments of depression. I cling to that promise from God that I am just scratching the surface of this unchartered territory into joy.

As believers, we should all be living lives full of so much joy that it spills over to the people that we encounter. We need to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Whether you are aware of it or not, God has a plan for your life. It’s the best plan. It’s a plan that will fill your life with so much joy that you can’t wait to give it away.

We can change our world if we find all find our joy. I know too many people that are going through the motions of life. They wake up, go to work, come home, have dinner, have a beer and call it a day. There is so much more to life than that.

If you have never asked God to show you His plan for your life, I encourage you to do so. I gurantee it will start you onto the path to a life of joy. Let us be part of that remnant that can change the world.

God Has a Plan For Your Life, Part 2

During this blog post, I would like to take the time to those who may seem like they are “floundering” in life.

It’s to those people that may seem like they have it all together, but still feel like something is missing. It may also be to the person that is out of work and the weight of this world is closing in on them.

Wherever you are, it is my prayer that this will be an encouragement to get on God’s plan for your life and stop surrendering to the world.

First, I know that there may be some very fine salesmen that may be reading this post. You may have accumulated a lot of money over the years, but no matter how much wealth you acquire there feel like something is missing.

Next, to those recent college graduates who may be looking to start their career. You have made through college “successfully”, but still lack a sense of direction in life.

Finally, to the person that has been entrenched in their career for years, and seems scare to venture out of the norm and onto God’s plan for their life.

All three of these types of people may haven’t different circumstances in life, but they have a commonality, they are out of God’s will for their lives.  With that comes stress, depression, feelings of lack and other insercurities.

Getting on God’s plan will give you the “fruit of the spirit:

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness:

You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to on God’s plan for your life. Just a simple prayer. Just say:

Lord Jesus, I know I have been of your will for many years. I don’t know what you have planned for me, but I know it is the best. I repent of my sins, come into my life and transform.

A simple prayer like that could just transform your life. Just sit back and watch God bring heavenly connections into your life.

I know He will. He did it for me and He will do it for you.

I still marvel that God has called me to preach and used my favorite preacher, Charles Stanley, to help call out His will for my life.

I’ve posted this before, but it’s worth posting again.  Here it is and God bless!

On Eagle Wings

Do you ever worry about how the future is going to play out? More than likely, there is some area your life that you worry about. Whether or not it is finances, health, or relationships, etc. there is probably some area that you worry about. I know I should do.

Let me direct you to one of my scripture verses about worry. It is found in Matthew 6:25-27:

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

On my way home after church service, my eyes were caught by the “birds of the air”. Maybe for the first time this verse came to life for me.  The birds looked so peaceful just gliding through the air. There looked to be minimal effort on their part.

I believe this how our Heavenly Father wants us to live, with minimal effort. He wants us to relinquish control and turn over control to Him.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, Help us to be more like the birds of the air. Help us to soar in our lives like the eagle. Lord it was you that told us that worrying wouldn’t add a single hour to our lives. I pray you sink that message deep into every reader. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen!

Restoration God

Yesterday’s blog post was about how God was (figuretively) leading me from being a catepillar to a butterfly. Today, I want to talk about the God of Restoration.

You see when I was in the “cocoon” phase, God asked me to do a lot of things that were uncomfortable in the moment. From walking away from certain relationships to starting to tithe my income, it seemed that God was taking from me.

At the time, I didn’t understand that the same God that takes away can restore as well!

Psalm 51:12 says:

Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”

You see when God brings you through the valley it is never His intention to leave you there. It is ALWAYS His purpose to bring you through to the other side.  What is on the other side?

Galatians 5:22 says:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Now about this time last year, God gave me a small glimpse of what this new life would be like.  It lasted for about a day.  During the day, I treated myself to an ice cream cup.

And a funny thing happen.

When I swiped my debit card to pay for the ice cream, I felt this radiating joy spread throughout my body. For those of you that know me, spending any kind of money use to always be a painful task for me to do. I was so uptight about even spending a dollar.

If you are in a valley season right now, my encouragement to you today is to keep pressing on.  You know what your dreams and desires are. You may even know what God’s will is for your life. God not only wants to, but WILL see you through to the other side.

Here I Am Lord

This is the title my favorite Catholic song and it sums perfectly up how I feel.  If you want me to do Parking Ministry or speak to 45,000 plus, here I am Lord to do your will.  It’s just amazing when you surrender yourself over to the Lord the work that can be done to Him glory and honor.

That’s how I feel about this blog right now. I don’t blog my personal gain. Or to build my ego. The 164 followers of this blog aren’t mine, they belong to you O Lord.

That’s one of the reasons God used depression in my life  to break the ego Marc out.  There is absolutely nothing that I do apart from the Holy Spirit that dwells with in.

So here are the lyrics to the refrain of Here I Am Lord:

Here I am Lord
Is it I Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night
I will go Lord
If you lead me
I will hold your people in my heart.

I say send me Lord. I come to do your will.

Heavenly Father, thank you for all the support over the past two years while I have been battling depression.  Thank You for keeping  me safe in the valley and hiding me from the rain.  Help me to continue to grow closer to you each day.  I pray that you send every reader a message about a heavenly plan for their lives.  No more going to work , just for the sake of earning a paycheck. Help them and guide them in finding their purpose. I pray this in  Jesus name.

Just Maybe……

I’ve talked a lot about waiting on God’s timing, but the past few weeks that has turned into action.

Currently, my house is on the market for sale at a reasonable price.  It seems reasonable to sell the house because I only have a small amount of income coming.

Just maybe though, God wants me to keep the house.  Just maybe he has a greater plan for the house.  Maybe there is a reason there hasn’t been a single offer on the house.

I don’t understand all of God’s ways.  But I can follow a principle that says, And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus (Phillipians 4:19)

Maybe God will honor the volunteering and interning at my local church.  Maybe God has me right where He wants me.  To be totally dependent on Him to supply my needs. It’s scary at times, but it’s the best race I have ever. And I cannot wait to reap the rewards for being obedient to an Almighty God.

When God Asks Us to Do the Unreasonable

Why is it that God asks us to do the unreasonable? I believe the answer to that question is to further our personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  If God did not have challenging moments in out lives, where would our dependence be.  The answer would be on ourselves.  We would be tooting out own horn saying things like:

“I got this one”

“I don’t need God for this challenge”

“I don’t need God in my life at all”

God can also asks us to do the unreasonable to test our faith level.  If you asked God to bring in the man/woman of your life into your life, and He does. Your faith would increase.  But what if God doesn’t bring you that significant other,  Do you pout and scream and say, “where is God? I thought God loved me. Some God this is.” May I make a suggestion.  God heard your prayer the very first time and is already aligning the pieces into place.  You just need to have a little patience!

The unreasonable often seems unreasonable because it goes against our culture.  We live in a culture of not only if we want it now, we can have it now. Advertisements flood the papers and airwaves convincing you that you are not good enough unless if you buy this $100 facial cream that guarantees to make you look longer.

How can a believer stop these attacks from the enemy, The first thing is to get into the Word of God and see how Almighty God sees you. Next, surround yourself with other believers that are wanting to walk the Christian life.  Lastly, I will post 30 Life Principles from Dr. Charles Stanley, that is beginning to take root within my mind.

Have a blessed night!

Grace and Peace,

Marc Kutylowski

Waiting on God….Whatever the Cost

Have you ever found yourself in a situation wondering if you should act now or wait? More than likely you have. And more than likely, you wanted it now.  How many times has God warned you about getting ahead of God’s timing?

Timing is everything with God.  It is important to not get ahead of his timing, but also not to get behind in his timing.  If you are out of God’s timing, there is probably a sense of restlessness in your spirit.  God has a plan for your life and if you are out of his timing, you may just miss the best that God has for your life.

While timing is important with God, the sacrifice you may have to make is equally.  Take something like tithing for example.  How often has God wrestled with your heart to give 10% back to him.  It isn’t to punish you or to make you suffer.  But it is to show God that you recognize that God will “supply all of your needs according to His riches and glory.”

And remember God’s plan often isn’t often reasonable. It may just send you around the country so that God can teach you a lesson, that there are trustworthy people here on this planet.

The best way to stay connected with God is through prayer. And not after the traffic jam occurs and you are already running late to work.  God wants to be involved intimately in every aspect of your life.  The question is will you let Him…….whatever the cost may me.

Discerning God’s Voice: Part 2

Yesterday I spoke about discerning God’s voice that was by all accounts beneficial. Today I want to talk about discerning God’s voice when it doesn’t seem beneficial, in the moment.

Take yesterday for example. Shortly after finishing the blog post, I felt an uneasiness in my spirit of abandonment from God. Instead of pushing it aside like normal, I asked “What are you trying to tell me in this moment?”

Maybe for the first time in my life, it was so crystal clear, not audible, but clear. He wants me to feel the same way that Jesus felt when He felt separated from the Father at the Cross.

Now why would God want that? Let’s take a look at what became an anchor verse when I was in the hospital last spring after the suicide attempt.

1 Peter 4:12-13 says, 12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

What I have loved about this verse is it says “when the trial” comes, not if. You see one of the ways of being healed is through brokenness, so that God can heal in no ways that humans can understand.

It is on the other side of the pain where the Fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, etc) can be felt.

So with that I say, bring on my Gethsemane moment dear Lord. I joyfully accept. After all, it is really no longer that I that live, but Christ that lives within me.
