God Wants to Heal EVERY Part of Your Life

Summary: While God is certainly interested in healing us emotionally, spiritually and physically, He is also interested in healing other areas of our lives, like the vehicle we drive!

I have been going to a church that pursues the healing touch of God in a powerful way. People have seen limbs grown, cancer disappear and many other miraculous touches of God!

It got me thinking at some point, since God is interested in every part of our lives, would He be interested in “healing” a vehicle?

Psalm 139:17-18 says, “How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.”

That is a lot of sand! Surely one of those grains of sand are the vehicles we drive!

So for the past two years or so, I speak life to the vehicle I drive. Since doing so, I have not had a major car repair to be done. In fact, I have watched the gas light go from on to off and the watch the gas needle go up while driving! Praise God!

In Jesus name, roll on 1994 Dodge Caravan, Roll on!

I have prayed over my parents vehicle and have seen the check engine light go off.

Jesus is so madly in love with us that he even cares about the things we have,

Prayer: Thank you Father for everything you have given us. I am so grateful. Holy Spirit, help us speak life to the possessions you have entrusted with us! Help us to share our testimonies to be an encouragement to one another.

Application and Comments: How do you speak life into to your everyday life? I would love to hear about it in the comments below!

Calling Out the Gold In Others

Summary: Each day we have the chance to call out the gold in people or to bury their hearts. Lets be watchful of the words we are using.

Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruits.”

I have been staying with my parents for around a year for various reasons, but perhaps the most important was to call out the gold in them!

How did I call out the gold in people? It’s really simple. Speak to their identity in Christ.

Examples:

  • Hey Mom, how is the daughter of God doing today?
  • Hey Dad, how is the heir of God doing today?
  • Hey Mom, how is the princess of God doing today?

The list can go on and on. (Here is a list that I recommend)

It’s how the transformation process began in me when someone spoke to my identity and I have a feeling that God is doing a incredible work in my parents as well as I plant and water their seeds of greatness.

I have noticed my parents to be much more understanding and have seen incredible growth in their lives over the past year.

Also, I like to to speak random people I meet throughout the day. To the grocery clerk, “How is the Child of God doing today?”

The beautiful thing is that it blesses the both of us! It speaks to their identity in Christ and it helps to reaffirm my identity in Christ as well!

And here is an important note. Even on the days when things aren’t going well, I firmly believe it important to call out the gold in other people. It can help prevent bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness seeping in.

Application: Who is someone in your life that God keep bringing across your path? How can you choose to bless them with the words you speak?

Prayer: Father, I pray that the Holy Spirit gives us uplifting words to speak to our neighbors to call out the gold in others. Have our lips be for speaking life and not death.  In Jesus name. Amen.

Here I Am Lord

This is the title my favorite Catholic song and it sums perfectly up how I feel.  If you want me to do Parking Ministry or speak to 45,000 plus, here I am Lord to do your will.  It’s just amazing when you surrender yourself over to the Lord the work that can be done to Him glory and honor.

That’s how I feel about this blog right now. I don’t blog my personal gain. Or to build my ego. The 164 followers of this blog aren’t mine, they belong to you O Lord.

That’s one of the reasons God used depression in my life  to break the ego Marc out.  There is absolutely nothing that I do apart from the Holy Spirit that dwells with in.

So here are the lyrics to the refrain of Here I Am Lord:

Here I am Lord
Is it I Lord?
I have heard you calling in the night
I will go Lord
If you lead me
I will hold your people in my heart.

I say send me Lord. I come to do your will.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for all the support over the past two years while I have been battling depression.  Thank You for keeping  me safe in the valley and hiding me from the rain.  Help me to continue to grow closer to you each day.  I pray that you send every reader a message about a heavenly plan for their lives.  No more going to work , just for the sake of earning a paycheck. Help them and guide them in finding their purpose. I pray this in  Jesus name.

Waiting Patiently, Expectantly and Prayerfully

Have you ever waited so long for something that you started to lose hope?  You have already seen the signs from God that he will fulfill His promises to you, but still may doubt that it will ever happen.

Let me encourage you that today is not the day to give up. Nor is any day really. God has us wait for many of reasons.  He can have us wait to teach us to totally rely on Him for any circumstance in life.  He can have us wait because He could be doing an awesome work in another person. He could be doing awesome work in you!

God knows the perfect time to release His blessings to you.  It will be a time that will have an awesome impact.  It will be a time that will bring the most glory and honor to God.  God knows when you can handle the blessing and when you can’t.

So while you are patiently waiting for God to bring a promise to pass, let me encourage you to remind God of His promises in prayer.  God loves a humble servant that “Looks to the LORD and his strength; seeks his face always.” (Psalm 105:4).

If you never have trusted Jesus Christ as your personal savior, none of this is available to you.  The good news is that it is a simple process.  Just say “Lord Jesus, come into my heart. I make you my Lord and Savior.”  Then step back and surrender and watch God do an awesome work through you.

P.S. 16 days until Kent State kicks off against Illinois. Go Golden Flashes!!

HALT! STOP! ROADBLOCK!

Have you ever had a moment in life that doesn’t make any sense?  I am sure you have as well. You try and rationalize and that just frustrates you even more.

Here is what I have discovered in these confusing and conflicting situations.  God is in the process of lining up the pieces for something awesome to happen.

Take my Electroconvulsive (ECT) Therapy sessions I have been going through.  I am scheduled for 12 sessions and everything was going great until the 11th procedure.  When I woke up I barely knew who I was, who my mom was or even the year.  Everything around me just seemed different and not in a good way.

And the weirdness didn’t stop there.  I became hostile towards people.  Hostile towards my parents.  Hostile under my breath because a church friend was 5 minutes late for coffee.  The main frustration is that I will be starting an internship in a few weeks and I would hate for something like this to get in the way.

Wednesday was not any better.  I became so belligerent that I had my parents call the cops on me.

The officer asked me, “Why don’t you come over here so we can talk?”

My response, “Like Hell!” (Note to self: This is a quick way to get handcuffed and kindly escorted to the back of a cruiser)

The raging didn’t stop at the hospital.  The staff had strap me down to subdue me and give me an injection.

Today is the first day I am having some semblance of a normal day with thoughts and various activities)

Why do I tell you all of this?  The reason that I do is that show that I although I may not know the reason God allowed to behave like this, I have a enough trust and confidence that God is working in my life and churning up the impurities buried deep with in me.  Or Maybe this is God’s way of keeping me in check.

Also, this blog is is to inspire one another when going through difficult moments in life. I refuse to write a bubble gum blog.

Grace and Peace,

Marc Kutylowski

World’s Design for Life vs. God’s Design for Life

World’s Design for Life at its Best.

Go to school. Graduate from high school, Go to college. Graduate from college. Get a job. Get married. Have kids. Watch kids get married. Have grandkids. Retire. Travel a little. Die.

God’s Design for Life at its Best:

Matthew 6:33

“But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you”

Romans 12:2

“Do not conform to the ways of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve God’s will-his good pleasing and perfect will.”

Which system are you in?

Lord, I’m Ready Now

Wow, what a spiritual journey this has been to this point.  Filled with moments of great hope and moments of great despair. Today, is one of the last days of the healing phase of my recovery. Today, I let go of my earliest wound inside my body that haunts be to this day.  The fear of death.

I can remember exactly where I was where and when I found about death from when I was three years old.  What I didn’t know was the impact it would have on my life.  And yes there was some wheat and also weeds in the fear of death.

The weeds prevented me from living a life of joy.  Instead, I often felt like a little boy inside a grown man’s body. I felt powerless as a result.  I can also remember trying to control when death would happen. I can remember being 8 years old and saying things like, “I’m one tenth of the way through my life!”  I had developed and victim’s mentality.

The wheat of having the fear of death is that it kept me safe.  It kept me from accepting adult responsibilities at an earlier age.  You see if I didn’t have the fear of death, I may have accepted a “mediocre” life. You know go to work from 9-5, come home, have a little fun, go to bed and do it all over again. Sounds miserable! It also kept me safe from ultimately committing suicide last year.

You see I could never actually see myself committing suicide. Underneath the facade of life I had been living, I loved myself and others too much to let that happen. As I have worked through the other emotional scars in my life, I am finally ready to let go of that fear. I’m ready to reap the rewards of the spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 states, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.”

Come have Your way. Lord, I’m ready now.

“Oh Lord I’m ready now
All the walls are down
Time is running out
And I wanna make this count
I ran away from you
And did what I wanted to
But I don’t wanna let you down
Oh Lord I’m ready now
Lord I’m ready now

The Joy of God’s Discipline

The word discipline has a negative connotation to it similar to. It implies that someone did something wrong and corrective action must be applied. It is almost sounds like punishment. There is significant difference between the two.  Discipline is a tool of God’s love for His Children.

Proverbs 3:11-12 says, “My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.”

Yesterday, I talked about how God is a jealous God after your heart.  You can be sure God will remove those obstacles that keep God from going after your heart.

Here is a practical example from my life.  Sometimes I can have the tendency to be on the internet too much.  I can remember a few weeks ago, the internet went out for a few days and I took a different approach to the situation.  This time I viewed it as coming FROM God.  He wanted me to spend more time with Him. It wasn’t a punishment where I felt the wrath of God for doing something wrong.

Rather, I viewed it as a sign of God’s discipline and love. It was a perspective changed. God loved me so much that He needed to provide a wake up call.

Hebrews 12:11 goes as far as saying, “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it,”

So the lesson in God’s discipline is that it is a sign of God’s love for us.  We should take great joy when we are being disciplined by Holy God because it is shaping us into the Godly men and women that we were destined to be.

The God of Restoration

Some people have a view of God that God wants to only take from you. “Why would I want to give tithe and give 10% to God?” “Why did God allow me to be unemployed?”  “Why did God take my health from me?” These are some questions that I commonly here. Listen up.

If God is in the process of taking from you, he also is the God that will restore the very thing you thought you may have lost.

How many times have I heard stories of being people giving to God, and being blessed financially and any many other ways? You cannot out give God. Period.  How many times have I heard stories of people of losing their job to obtain a better career that has more meaning to their lives? How many times have I heard stories of losing their health, to only have it restored? Countless is the answer.  Praise God, He takes away meaningless jobs!

Job 42:10 states”And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

You see the Book of Job is not about a blameless man that suffers for no reason.  It is story about a man that lost everything to gain everything in his earthly and heavenly lives. It is a story that is still relevant in 2015.

In many ways, I feel like a Job.  I thought I had it all, the money, the house, the friends, the resources, etc. In reality I had nothing.  I didn’t have a personal intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.  I was a lukewarm Christian, which is a dangerous place to be in life (probably a blog post for a different date).

Like Job, I had to recognize that God is God and He can do what He wants in a person life.  As my bank account dwindles towards zero, I can’t help shake the feeling that God is about to do something that is about to do something awesome in my life. And not just financially.  In fact, I have more peace about my financial situation than I ever did when I was just hoarding my money.

God takes away from people, but He is also in the business of restoration.

Prayer: How grateful we are Father that you don’t take from us without the promise of restoration.  Thank you in advance for restoring lives, relationships, finances, and everything else.  You are the Provider.  You are the vine, while we are merely a branch.  Help us to draw closer to You in ways we could never imagine.  I pray in the power of the Holy Spirit that there is a spiritual awakening across this land.  Guide people to seek You and to find You. In Jesus name. Amen.
